A rare openwork lacquered and gilded wood-core box, the side - Lot 441
A rare openwork lacquered and gilded wood-core box, the sides and lid include beveled rock crystal plates. It is rectangular in shape, with a flat, ribbed lid and half-column decoration. Each crystal plate is beveled. Italy, Venice, circa 1600. H_14.8 cm W_17.6 cm D_12.6 cm. The closing hook has been modified to a later lock, but the original hook has been retained.
