An important pair of five-light candelabra in patinated and gilded bronze, decorated with antique-style caryatids, griffins and a summit eagle. The model created by Jean-Baptiste Héricourt (1756-1849) represents the myth of Etana, probably to celebrate the birth of the King of Rome. Empire period. H_86 cm W_26 cm D_15 cm. An identical model was delivered in 1811 to the Hotel Borghese, owned by Pauline Bonaparte, and is now in the collections of the British Crown.
