Album of the Hôtel Continental - 3 rue de Castiglione, Paris, facade overlooking the Jardin des Tuileries. In-folio in red half cloth, red percaline boards, cold-stamped and gilded, published by the Office Général des Hôtels et Maisons Meublés de Paris, for the year 1881-1882. Intended as a "veritable visitors' book of high commerce and industry", the book features several views of the hotel, a map of Paris, a map of Europe's railroads, rates and good addresses in the capital and the provinces, practical information, seaside resorts and water cities. Rich iconography. A fine copy.
