François Frédéric LEMOT (1771-1827), after.
Henri IV on horseback.
Silver sculpture on a black-stained wooden base.
English guarantee hallmarks, affixed in London and then checked in France.
19th century.
Gross weight: 4222 grams, 925°/00 (with base).
H_27 cm W_22 cm D_6 cm
Note: We note a "metal" mark following the English guarantee hallmarks. The work is certainly embellished with only a few superficial elements in silver-plated metal, notably the flange.
Our silver sculpture is a reduction of the equestrian statue erected on the Pont-Neuf at the request of Louis-Philippe in 1818, after François Frédéric LEMOT (1771-1827), and represents the first Bourbon king, crowned with laurel and holding a scepter in his right hand.
