Nivernais canoe made in Decize by THE LAWRENCE CANOE. Wooden and coated canvas canoe, circa 1920-1930. With stool, seat and oars. H_50 cm W_466 cm D_95 cm. Lawrence was the pseudonym of Henri Laurent and one of the first examples of the Americanization of the canoe business in France. The company was registered in Decize, Nièvre, from around 1920.
