BEAUX-ARTS] ARMENGAUD (Jean Germain Désiré)] Livre d'or de la peinture, Paris, typographie Wiesener,1866-1867 An in-folio volume, in a publisher's binding of green half-chagrin and percaline boards, stamped with cold and gilded motifs, spine with ornate faux nerfs, red edges with gilded motifs, clasps of 5 foreword pages followed by unpaginated leaves. Book presenting 50 plates of famous painters (after Turner, Delaroche, Greuze, Raphael, Haghe, Herring...) reproduced in full-page black, and illustrated with engravings in the text. Binding rubbed. Some foxing. Part of lower clasp missing. Staining on lower cover.
