Reference work on Paris and its history by Marcel Poëte (1866-1950), curator at the Bibliothèque des travaux historique de la Ville de Paris, and initiator of urban planning education in France.
The book includes: Paris in its youth - City of the Renaissance - The spirituality of the classical city, the origins of the modern city - an album of six hundred illustrations based on documents, with captions and a historical account.
