First edition of this little work on grafting plants and fruit trees, including a chapter on tree anatomy and nutrition.
The author of this work, Antoine Mizaud (1510-1578), a French physician known for having been Queen Margot's astrologer, was responsible for numerous research studies and a number of horticultural treatises, in particular on the cultivation and care of fruit trees such as this one, as well as popular works on gardening, medicinal plants and popular pharmacy.
