REGIONALISM/NIVERNAIS] COQUILLE (Guy)] Les Coustumes du Pays et du Duché de Nivernois, with annotations and comments by Me Guy Coquille, Sieur de Romenay in Paris with Abel l'Angelier in 1610. A large volume in-4 in contemporary full parchment, with (14), 964 pages, and (84) table. Second edition, virtually identical to the 1605 original. Guy Coquille (1523-1603) was a jurisconsult and lawyer, Attorney General of the Duchy of Nevers. His commentary on custom therefore appears after his death. Stained vellum. Worm work in margins on a few leaves. Ink stamp of the Abbeville library on the title page. Rare.
