MANUSCRIPT/LAW] Code Buisson - undated (late 18th-early 19th century). Two full calf folio volumes of I: 758 pages and II: 758 pages The Code Buisson was written by Honoré Buisson (1624-1696), a lawyer at the Parlement de Provence at the end of the 17th century, who was elected assessor of Aix in 1684 and 1690. It is a commentary (without the text of the code) on the 12 books of Justinian's Code. Our copy is one of many later copies of this text. Modern French script, well legible and airy. Stamp Belsunce Conference, Marseille. Stamp Massiliae JHS SOC JES. Bindings rubbed and worn. Corners dulled.
