CHINA. - Lot 358
CHINA. An important cloisonné enamel covered box with floral decoration, the lid decorated with a pair of two birds on a red background. The rim is decorated with flowering foliage and drise. 19th century. H_9.5 cm D_21.5 cm. Provenance: Colin POURRAT collection (1821-1889), then by descent. Bourbonnais family. Colin Pourrat, Brigadier General in 1878, commanded the Polytechnic School until 1880. A similar model is preserved in the collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Art, USA, ref. 2014.136.5A.B, presented as Qianlong period.
