Henri MONDOR (1885-1962). Cat. Watercolor and ink wash on paper, signed and dated 33. H_16.7 cm L_22 cm. Henri MONDOR was not only the great surgeon who gave his name to a major Parisian hospital, he was also an artist. His gift for drawing, which began in high school, won him several prizes. He also illustrated books by Georges Duhamel and Paul Valéry. His drawings are nevertheless rare on the market.
