Robert COMBAS (born 1957). - Lot 259
Robert COMBAS (born 1957). Tiger's Head - 2007. "A funny little painting featuring a bunch of people and a particularly large panther tiger. In truth, it's a mask worn by a President. In truth, it's a portrait of Nicolas Sarkozy (head on), because I saw a TV show where UMP politicians were asked: "What animal does Nicolas Sarkozy inspire in you?", and the most common answer was a (sometimes black) panther.". Acrylic and tiger mask collage on canvas. H_81 cm L_65 cm In a molded wood frame. Provenance: acquired in 2018 from Galerie Bertheas. With its duplicate certificate of authenticity from Galerie Bertheas (Saint-Etienne - Paris - Vichy). We would like to thank the Archives Robert Combas, who confirmed the authenticity of this work and its archive number.
