Second edition (the first was published in 1598), expanded and enriched with additional images as well as a commentary on each by J. Faber. A collection of engravings of illustrious figures, reproduced from ancient marbles, coins, and gems—the majority of which are preserved in Rome in the collection of Fulvio Orsini—featuring a total of 168 engravings: a frontispiece title page, 151 engraved portraits, and 17 engravings in the appendix.
