A very fine illustrated edition of this famous work by Scarron, adorned with figures drawn by Le Barbier and engraved under his direction. A portrait of the author engraved by Lemire and 15 figures engraved by Baquoy, Dambrun, Duclos, Hubert, Petit, Romanet, and Simonet. Copy bearing the bookplate of W.A. Caswell. A fine copy. A stain on the binding; signs of sun damage.
