Note: Achille Laugé was born on April 29, 1861, in Arzens (Aude), near Carcassonne, and died on June 2, 1944, in Cailhau (Aude), where he settled permanently after his father’s death and where he painted the majority of his works. An artist deeply attached to Occitanie, his native region, Laugé captivates with his unique journey within the Neo-Impressionist movement. In 1886, at the Salon des Indépendants, he discovered Georges Seurat’s seminal painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. This painting is sold by designation and will be delivered to our storage facility
