LATE ROMAN EMPIRE An iridescent blue blown-glass amulet, lathe-shaped into the form of a vase with a handle. 5th century or early 6th century. H_2 cm A beautiful, complete specimen, untreated, with balanced wear. The Louvre Museum holds an identical piece under inventory number E 23606, which is featured in the book *Les verres antiques du Musée du Louvre*, Vol. 3, p. 63 (illustrated on p. 71).
