A chiseled and gilded bronze clock depicting an allegory of knowledge in the form of a seated young boy holding a globe, next to a harp and a book, with his foot resting on a column base. The circular guilloché dial is set within a white enamel frame with Roman numeral hour markers and “Breguet”-style hands. The stepped base is decorated with leafy garlands. Restoration period, 19th century. H_ cm L_ cm D_ cm; one piece is missing
